About ECPA

Graeme Taylor Director of Public Affairs Telephone : (+ 32) 2 663 15 52 Email : Graeme.taylor@ecpa.eu

The European Crop Protection Association (ECPA) represents the crop protection industry in Europe. Our members include all major crop protection companies, SMEs and national associations across Europe. Our Association promotes modern agricultural technologies in the context of sustainable development. We aim to protect the health of humans and the environment, and to contribute to providing a safe and affordable supply of food, while ensuring competitive agriculture. We support fair, science-based regulation as a guarantee, to both the consumer and the crop protection user, of high standards of quality and safe products.

About the opportunity

The intern will gain work experience and thorough, first-hand understanding of the functioning of a dynamic European Association, in a challenging and interesting sector, working as part of the Public Affairs team.

Reporting to our Public Affairs Director, the intern will support our Communications Expert Group and Public Affairs Team. The interns’ job would be to support our Public Affairs Director in his daily job – extending from media relations, managing his speaking opportunities, coordinating campaigns to organising internal meetings, providing briefing notes and helping with administrative tasks.

Remuneration is provided.

About the candidate

The successful candidate should be available for 6 months – ideally from the beginning of September 2017 till March of 2018. He or she should be a go-getter, team player, perform well under pressure and work independently when required. We value enthusiasm, positive attitude and a solution-oriented character.

The intern should demonstrate good understanding of the functioning of EU institutions and basic knowledge about the Brussels media landscape. We are looking for a student, ideally somebody still pursuing their studies with a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Media or similar.

Fluent level of English both written and spoken is a must. Proficiency in another European language would be considered as an advantage.

Interested candidates should send a CV and covering letter by email to Graeme Taylor (graeme.taylor@ecpa.eu) by 30 June 2017.
