Communications Internship

Founded in 1904, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) brings together leading national motoring organisations from 141 countries worldwide and is the governing body for world motor sport. The FIA Region I office, based in Brussels, is a consumer body representing 114 Motoring and Touring Clubs and their 38 million members from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.   • Place: FIA Region I office in Brussels, Belgium
  • Duration: 5-6 months, full-time (agreement with the university necessary)
  • Starting date: August 28 2017
  • Deadline for applications: 2 July 2017

The role:

This internship would suit a student looking to grow a variety of skills in the Brussels policy / communications environment. Tasks will primarily focus on communications, working together with the Head of Communications.

Tasks would include but not be strictly limited to:

  • Drafting articles / speeches
  • Updating websites
  • Supporting the development of new websites
  • Supporting administrative tasks
  • Proofreading
  • Video recording and editing
  • Layout/design of documentation
  • Press monitoring
  • Inventory of materials both digital and printed
  • Uploading photos / videos / publications
  • Support for social media accounts
  • Researching website statistics / analytics
  • Working with suppliers for website/print material development
  • Event support, when necessary 

Profile:

  • University student seeking work experience in Brussels within an international team.
  • Qualities required include: a high level of English both written and spoken; creativity; a fast learner; good analytical skills; and a determination to get the job done right.
  • The ideal candidate is organised, enthusiastic, with an ability to prioritise time-sensitive assignments and an eye for detail.
  • A knowledge of html/Wordpress, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Premier Pro and active social media presence is a plus.

We are offering a full-time internship, 5 days a week (Monday-Friday), from 9-18.

If you are not currently a student, you are not eligible for this position.

A stipend of 600€ will be given, covering a part of the living costs in Brussels.
