The organisation

This is an active campaigning charity who have close relationships in Westminster, and engage with the devolved nations and the EU.

The role

As the Public Affairs Advisor you will develop and implement the organisation's public affairs strategy for Westminster and the EU. As part of the strategy you will create, implement and manage public affairs campaigns, dealing with issues from housing to manufacturers. To fully develop the campaigns, you will build relationships with relevant stakeholders from MPs, MEPs, charities and other third sector organisations to manufacturers and commercial businesses. You will also write speeches, briefings and other communications for both internal and external stakeholders and research policy.

The candidate

  • Will have worked in a bread and butter public affairs role
  • Have excellent working knowledge of Westminster and the devolved nations
  • Worked in an EU office or have good knowledge of EU directives
  • Experienced at implementing campaigns and seeing them through to completion
